Become a paleontologist and enter a dig site to find fossils.

Resources

Fossils made last week and hidden in the sand.
Sand
Suitable container for dig - we used the long bench type seats and flipped them over and filled the cavity with sand.
Art paint brushes to move the sand. or old house paint brushes you no longer need.
Old sheet ripped into squares - to receive the "discovered" fossils.

Instructions

Emphasis the importance of not throwing or flicking the sand around.
Kea to use an Art paint brush to work the sand and find the fossil.
"Discovered" fossils are to be placed on the sheet to be cleaned later.
