Water Glass Magic

Description
Defying the laws of gravity? Drinking water upside down? This must be magic… or science!
Turn a glass of water upside down with a piece of card attached. The card will not fall away from the glass and the water will stay in the glass.

Instructions
What to Do
Fill your glass of water to the top.
Place card over the top of the glass.
Quickly turn the glass upside down over the sink (just in case the experiment goes wrong), holding the card in place and then, carefully let go of the card.
What’s Going On?
In summary, the note card doesn’t fall down because of the difference in pressure and it doesn’t slide off because of surface tension and adhesion. So, it might look like magic, but it’s really science.
