Instructions

Aim of Badge To develop an awareness and appreciation of cultures other than your own

This Badge has 5 options of which 5 must be completed

Introduction
• The aim of this activity is to show that we have similarities with each other but we also have differences
• we are unique
• This is a visual activity that displays our differences as individuals
Instructions
1. Give each Brownie a copy of the gingerbread man (see attached file) and crayons
2. Explain that you are going to read out a number of instructions (see overleaf)
3. Brownies have to colour in the body part that you call out with the colour that you state
4. Once you have completed colouring in the gingerbread man, call Brownies into a circle
Debrief/Discussion
• Discuss the similarities, i.e. all have head, arms, legs, body
• The differences i.e. we have different colour hair, different likes, different types of families
• We may have similarities with others but also have differences.
• Brownies will each have their own gingerbread man that is unique to them.
