3. Good Health and Well being (Senior Branch Leaders Information Sheet)
The Sustainable Development Goals* (SDGs) are a set of 17 universal goals and targets adopted by 193 UN member states on 25th September 2015 that outline a vision for the future for people and the planet. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15years
For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part: governments, the private sector, civil society and people like you.
Goal 3. Good Health and Well-being
When people are in good health, societies prosper. While a lot has been done to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases in recent years, real progress can only be achieved when everyone, including women and children, have access to good health care.
