• cardboard (white if possible)
• embroidery thread
• glass
• ruler
• scissors
• pencil
• template (see photo overleaf)

Instructions

Aim of Badge
To develop an awareness and appreciation of cultures other than your own.

This Badge has five options of which five must be completed.Instructions

• Using the template trace a circle on the wrong side of the cardboard using the glass. The circles should be about four inches in diameter.
• Divide the circle into equal parts and mark on the cardboard.
• Cut the circle out and then make slots around the outer edges (see marking on circle template on photo overleaf).
• Knot the thread, place the knot in the back of one of the slots and pull the thread through.
• Now just experiment and play with the patterning.
