Description

Tell the Beavers a little about the day.

Every July 4th Americans have a day off work and school and have parties. There are activities in the afternoon including baseball games, music and party food. Some cities have parades. Then, in the evening, people watch firework displays.

It celebrates the day when America became independent from Britain. Before that, Britain made the rules for America!

On July 4th 1776, America announced that the thirteen American colonies (or areas) were now a new nation, the United States of America, and no longer part of the British Empire.
