Description

Beavers attempt to grow cress in specific shapes.

Resources

cress seeds
plastic (or plastic coated paper) plates
kitchen towel, two sheets per child
water
small piece of light card
pencils
scissors

Instructions

Draw a shape on the card and cut it out to create a stencil.
Cut the sheets of kitchen paper into 4 and stack the 8 pieces created on the plate.
Pour a little water onto the kitchen paper to thoroughly dampen it.
Put the stencil on top of the kitchen towel, and sprinkle cress seeds into the shape.
Carefully remove the stencil leaving the shape on the plate.
Take it home and see how it grows!
