Autumn Leaf Sun-catchers

Resources

• Paper plates with the centre removed
• Clear book covering
• Hole punch
• Wool or string
• Glue
• Paint brushes or glue sticks

Instructions

• As part of the Road Safety Interest Badge, when you bring your group of Ladybirds out on their walk, let them pick up fallen leaves to bring back to the hall for this craft. Remember the Guide Laws of Leave no Trace.
• Giving each Ladybird two sheets of book covering, let them place their leaves whichever way they want on the covering.
• When the girls are happy with how the leaves look, help them to stick the second sheet of book covering on top of the leaves and ensure that both sheets are completely stuck together.
• Glue the paper plate frame over the leaves and cut the book covering to size to fit neatly in behind the round frame.
• Punch a hole in the top of the frame.
• Add the wool or string to be able to hang the leaves around the hall or let the Ladybirds bring them home.
