 Leadership quotes printed out on A4 sheets
 Paper/post-its and pen

Instructions

1. Stick up leadership quotes on the walls and ask everyone to move around the room reading the various quotes you have pasted on the walls.
2. Once they have read all the quotes, ask them to choose a quote which they think matches with what they view as a good, effective leader.
3. Once everyone has chosen a quote, ask them what made them choose that particular quote.
4. Write down the traits that emerge, which can be used as reflective material for the entire group on what goes into making a good, effective leader.
5. Alternatively use Post-its and have everyone put these on the relevant charts.
6. Titles for charts: What Leadership means to me; A Good Leader has; A bad Leader shows; My definition of Leadership is.
7. This helps to show whether you possess the kind of qualities a leader should have and ones you may still need to work on.
