Description

Using noticeboard - pin up area map.

Children to find their home and another location on the map and use a pin and luggage label to pin it.

Instructions

Each child writes their name on a brown luggage tag, and takes a length of string and ties it to the tag.

They then take a map pin and try to work out where they live (adults can help them to work it out), and pin the other end of the string to the map where they live. Otter to provide the grid reference as a hint.

We also will prepare a number of other markers for landmarks around the town: For example one for each school, supermarket, church, park.
