About 5 YL/Leaders
Instructions
Preparation:
• Put the Game Cards into 3 envelopes - Who, Where and What with.
• Enlist the help of 3 leaders who will each have one of the envelopes.
• Ensure each team has a copy of the 'Who done it?' checklist (copy attached) where they can mark off which cards they have seen, and leave this at base.
• Have 1 or 2 leaders at base to hand out tokens / sticky dots.
To Play:
• In front of the teams, randomly remove 1 card from each of the envelopes, ensuring they are not seen, and put them somewhere safe. This is who murdered The Group Scout Leader (GSL) where and what with.
• Give each player a token - a sticky dot is ideal. Once they find a leader, they exchange their token to see one card.
• Send off the 3 leaders with the remaining cards in the envelopes. They should move around the playing area (but not hide) and should swap envelopes between themselves.
• When a team member finds them, they take their token and show them the top card. (This card is then put to the bottom of the pile so that the next person is shown a different card). No token - no sight of the card!
• Send the teams off to find the leaders. Once they have been shown a card, they return to base to mark it off on their team's sheet and to obtain another token.
• The game continues until one team thinks they know who did it, where and what with
• They write down their suspicions and this will be checked against the cards which were initially removed. If correct, they have won.
• The game can then either stop or continue to allow all the teams to deduce who did it
