Instructions
1. Discuss with the Guides the organisations that they would like to support.
2. Make a list of local organisations or organisations that the Guides may have supported previously. Some Guides may have family members that avail of an organisation which the Guides may wish to support.
3. When the Guides have decided on an organisation they wish to support, you could contact a representative from that organisation to visit the Guide Unit and discuss a possible fundraiser.
4. If the representative can visit the Unit, the Guides in consultation with them can decide on an event.
5. The Guides can make a list of the many ways this can be undertaken e.g. cake sale, ice cream sale, sponsored walk or film night.

Guides need to take into consideration:
- the time of the year
- how long they hope to hold the event e.g. day long, afternoon
- will they invite other Units e.g. Brownies?
- will they require adult support?
