Simple but very exciting (for the cubs!) game played outdoors, preferably in a field, in the dark.

Resources

Very bright torch.

Instructions

Leaders stand at one end of the field - one has a very strong torch. The cubs are at the other end. A leader shouts Go, and the Cubs run, crawl or walk towards the leaders. Every so often the torch is shone - searchlight style - for about 3 seconds over the cubs. If a leader recognises a Cub, they shout out their name and the Cub is out. The winners are the Cubs that make it across the field without being recognised. Best done when the ground is dry!
