Ranchers V.S. Rustlers

Description
A tactical game with a Western American theme.
Resources
A Ball/Object to be stolen.
Chalk/cones/rope to mark a circle.
Instructions
An old-fashioned, Wild Western theme with the aim to rustle a cow successfully:
1. Name 3 Scouts to be Ranchers (those who work on the ranch/farm), everyone else is a Rustler (those who steal cattle).
2. Place the ball/object to be stolen inside a circle marked (this is Daisy the cow, the aim is to steal the cow). The 3 ranchers are not allowed within the circle.
3. Rustlers start away from the ranchers. The 3 ranchers may position themselves anywhere on site with the rule only 1 may be relatively close to the circle (up to Leader to decide distance).
4. On the whistle, rustlers must steal Daisy the cow and carry her (no throwing!) back to the start base.
5. Ranchers must stop them. Ranchers can tag anyone (even those without the cow, anyone "trespassing on their ranch"). If tagged you must freeze until a teammate un-tags you.
6. If tagged with the ball you must hand it to the Rancher. The rancher is allowed within the circle to place the ball back.
The rustlers win if Daisy the cow makes it to their base. The ranchers win if the whole team is tagged or the Leader calls time up (the Sheriff turns up). Swap the ranchers and repeat.
If your meeting place has a garden connected to the hall or multiple rooms then the game works there. If not, this game is best for outdoor meetings/camps. The Rustlers and Rangers should be suitably close to each other.
