Description
5 x 10 minute team games using relatively simple household items.

6 cups per group
1 elastic band per group
Ball of twine
Scissors/ knife to cut twine
1 tube of Pringles per Six
50 plastic cups
Measuring tape
Empty tissue box
20 pingpong balls (buy a beer pong set!)
String or belt and tape to attach tissue box
Stopwatch
Instructions
1845 - Arrival and signing in.
1850 - Flag Break and explain the rules of the games
1900 - games begin
1950 - Games end. Tidy up. Add up scores and announce winners.
1955 - Closing Ceremony.
2000 - Depart
Each game lasts 8 mins, with 2 mins to change around ready for the next game.
1. Cup Lifter
Team building activity where the team must remotely lift a cup off a pyramid of cups and build another.
Resources:
6 cups per group
1 elastic band per group
Ball of twine
Scissors/ knife to cut twine
Instructions:
4 cubs each hold the end of one of the attached strings
The object is to stack the cups into a pyramid without touching them
To pick up the cup, pull strings to open elastic and slip over cup.
Loosen grip on string, which tightens band on cup. Then move it, and pull again to let go. (Don't tell cubs this, let them figure it out)
Points - 1 point for each completed layer dismantled successfully (taken off with the tools, not knocked down); and 1 point for each layer built successfully.
2. Split the Water - see Activities.
Points - 8 points to teams that solve the puzzle. 2 point for no spillage or mess; 1 point for a very little spillage.
3. Pringle Ringle:
Challenge to build a freestanding circle or 'Ringle' from a tube of Pringles

Patience
Ability to persevere - trial, error, evaluate and back to trial.......
Instructions
Begin stacking the Pringles, using their natural curved shape to create a circle. It appears that a sturdy base is the key to a successful ringle.
Points - 7 points for a successful Ringle. Up to 3 points for aesthetics/appearance (max possible 10)
4. Highest cup tower - build the highest tower you can from 50 plastic cups.

Points - 10 points to highest tower, 8 to 2nd highest, 6 to 3rd, 4 to 4th, 2 to 5th.
5. Booty shake
Empty the pingpong balls out of a tissue box that is tied round your waist and behind you. The aim is to empty it as many times as possible within the 8 minutes.

20 pingpong balls
String or belt and tape to attach tissue box
Stopwatch
Points - 10 points to team that has emptied the box the most times (if tied, then the team with most balls out on final go wins). 8 points to 2nd most, 6 to 3rd, 4 to 4th, 2 to 5th.
