Description

Create snowmen themed crafts using a white sock and an old colourful sock as their hat.

Resources

Socks (White + Coloured)
Rice / Oats / Or other suitable material to fill snowmen
String
Hot glue gun + glue
Goggly eyes
Felt for scarf
Orange felt roll for carrot nose
Black felt for mouth / buttons (or alternatively black buttons)

Instructions

Cut the top off of a white sock just above the heel.
Use string to tie off one end of the sock tightly and turn inside out.
Fill the sock with desired filling (such as rice) and press down firmly occasionally.
Once full tie of the top of the sock.
Tie another string a short way down the sock to pull it in to form two 'balls' - one for the body and the other the head.
Glue on felt 'carrot' nose, goggly eyes, mouth and buttons. Alternatively stitch on the buttons as required.
Cut off the toe of a colourful sock to make the hat.
Fold a 1-2cm piece back on itself to form a hat. Glue this onto the snowman.
