Use the 3 x 3 numbered grid.
Scouts have to use the 8 compass point to work out the route

Resources

Print out work sheets and 3x3 grid sheet.
We found Scouts are best working in pairs and taking it in turns.
This also allow a weaker Scouts to get some assistance from an older Scout

Instructions

Leaders - Excel sheet has two tabs. One for question and another for answers
Takes about 10 mins / 15 Max.

We followed this up with a getting 8 Scouts positioned as if they are a compass. 1 Scouts / compass point.

Call out two directions and they race around the group and back to their position.
Last Scout back is out and can then be replaced by another Scout who is waiting by the side.
