Instructions
Introduction:
Start by asking if any of the Ladybirds can name some of the local sites in their area i.e. Oliver Plunkett’s Head in Drogheda, The Spire in Dublin, Kilkenny Castle etc. Ask each of the Ladybird’s if they would be able to give you directions to any of these places.
Instructions:
1. Using the template which can be found on OGM alter this with pictures or words of different sites in your area which the Ladybirds can then say where each of these sites are.
2. Divide the Ladybirds into small groups – you will need a Leader with each group.
3. Give each group the sheet and ask them if they can name the local places on the sheet.
As an option, and to cover Grow Challenge No. 10, the following week you could bring the Ladybirds on a heritage walk through their local area to find the sites on the list. Once they get to each of the points of interest you could give them an interesting fact or ask them to give you an interesting fact.
