Explain about Comic Relief, Red Nose Day and tell Farhad's story.

Comic Relief and Red Nose Day: -
Comic Relief is the charity that organises Red Nose Day. It raises money by getting people to do funny things on TV and by asking people across the UK to plan things to raise money.
Red Nose Day started in 1988 and happens every 2 years. This year is the 17th Red Nose Day and is on Friday March 15th.
(If any of them spot that it started on an even year and is now on an odd year - the first 2 years had RND in 1988 and 1989 then has been every 2 years!)
It raises money for people in need in the UK and across the world.

Farhad's story: -

Farhad is 12 years old and has 2 brothers.
He was born in Afghanistan.
The was a war in his country and his family were not safe there so they had to leave.
He grew up in Iran where he had a normal life like you and wanted to be a footballer or an artist.
His family had to leave Iran as that country was not safe too.
They walked and drove a long way to reach Turkey and then travelled by boat to Greece and were then taken to Serbia.
The boat was too full and so the people on it had to throw their things into the water.
Farhad threw his backpack full of pencils and paintbrushes overboard. He was very upset about this.
He now lives in a refugee camp with many other people who have had to leave their homes; it can be noisy and crowded.
Comic Relief organises trips for children away from the camp. On these trips Farhad plays football or draws. They have given him new pencils, paint and brushes and paper.
This is just one of the things the money raised this week will go to help.
