Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
Borrow a trundlewheel / GPS and work out the distance around the block from the scout hut. Send the scouts off at 30 second intervals around the block to count their double paces. Calculate the amount of double paces needed to walk 100m.
Resources
trundlewheel/GPS receiver
Instructions
A distance of 500-1000m is ideal - long enough to require 'bead counting', but short enough that it's not too time consuming.
Explain how to count 'double paces' & bead counting and give them beads or scraps of paper to use.
