Instructions

Before you start the quiz, talk to your young people about the different ways vehicle owners can improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. Ask them if there are any they know of.

Divide your section into teams of three/four to take the quiz.

Read each question and the multiple choice answers before moving onto the next one.

Encourage discussions among the group between questions.


HOW TO REDUCE EMISSIONS
Drive less, use public transport or walk
Drive at a constant speed or use cruise control
Switch off air conditioning
Make sure your tyres are inflated correctly
Get the vehicle serviced regularly
Remove bike racks or roof boxes when not in use.
Make sure the fuel cap is on tight
Close windows to improve aerodynamics
Remove unnecessary luggage to reduce weight
