Instructions
THE CHALLENGE
People using food banks may be doing so because of financial hardship – it is difficult to manage on what is sometimes a really tight budget and priorities will shift. Using a MAXIMUM budget of £20 your challenge is to buy a minimum of 20 items that can be of use to a foodbank to make its packages.
• Max Budget - £20total – you CANNOT go over at all and must buy minimum of 20 items
• All items must be useable by the food bank so no fresh, refrigerated or frozen goods
• At least one item must cater for an allergy – “free from” etc
• Try and not to just buy food – think of the struggles for other items like toiletries!
• No “mini” goods to try and drive price down – think family – meals must cater at least 3 people.
• You must spend as little as possible but BUY as much as possible, thinking about how to stretch your £20 and any change remaining could be used to benefit some other area of your life.
