Description

Light half a piece of horse's hoof fungus at the scout hut, take it down to Petils Bay (15minute walk away) and use it to start a fire to cook sausages/marshmallows

Resources

1/2 a horse's hoof fungus per patrol, matches, knives for making greensticks, sausages or marshmallows, water, 1st aid kit. Green sticks (willow branches).

Instructions

Fires to be lit below high tide mark if possible. Let fires burn out or put them out with water, then bury them with more pebbles to stop people or animals standing on hot rocks. Dead, dry gorse is the best fuel.
Meet at hut and collect from Les Petils bay carpark.
