Description

Team game to encourage team work, communication and competition.

Resources

Rope - Approx 20-25m
Rope - Approx 3m
Tiles or heavy card marked 1 to 20
Stopwatch

Instructions

The rope is placed in a rough circle on the ground (as large or small as you deem).
Tiles or cards marked with numbers from 1-20 are then placed randomly in the circle.

The 3 m rope is then placed as a starting line 10 to 15 m away.

Split the YP into teams (or use patrols if in Scouts) of 3 - 6.

The YP are then briefed what they have to do and some limitations:
Only one YP in the circle at a time.
Touch the numbers in ascending order.
You cannot touch any of the tiles/card unless it is the correct one.
The timer starts when the first YP crosses the start line and finished when the last YP crosses back over the finish line.

If a limitation is broken they have to return to the start line but the timer continues.

Once a team has had a go record the time and allow then to discuss what they could do better while another team undertakes the activity.
