Introduction
Ladybirds are asked to be able to recognise and colour in the European Union flag.


Instructions



The European Union features a circle of 12 gold stars on a blue background. They stand for the ideals of unity, solidarity and harmony among the peoples of Europe. The number of stars has nothing to do with the number of member countries, though the circle is a symbol of unity.

When the flags are coloured in you can ask the Ladybirds to stand in a circle and wave the flags. You can explain by standing in a circle you are standing together – in unity.
