Instructions

We used white socks. Washed them, used rubber bands to add pattern, and then dipped them in dye (4 different colours). The dye was mixed according to packet instructions. Let the dye work for a while, then rinsed then off. Left to dry until the end of the meeting, still wet so sent them all home with their wet socks in sandwich bag, with instructions to wash separately.
We had another activity running at the same time. They all wanted to do another pair!
T-shirts have worked well in the past. The scouts then wanted to do neckers, pyjamas, leggings.... We are going to do it again at Christmas. You could then add more accessories like pom poms the week after.
