Description

Move a bucket of balls without touching the bucket or the balls

Resources

One bucket, with a lip round it.
Enough small balls to half fill the bucket or one large ball.
4 lengths of rope
A square or round cordoned area about 1 meter across.

Instructions

1. Place the bucket in the centre of the cordon and place the balls inside.
2. Instruct the Scouts that they must move the bucket out of the cordon without touching it with any par of their body, while keeping all the balls inside it.

SOLUTION
Tie a loop in one rope, that will tighten around the bucket, but attach the other 3 ropes to before lowering it over the bucket. 4 Scouts should be holding the end of each rope standing equally spaced apart.
Tighten the loop and everybody works together to lift the bucket.
