Exploring Bodies

Description
finding out how our bodies work by looking at a variety of animal internal organs
Resources
A "pluck" from the butchers -- this is heart, lungs and liver all joined together. A few extra sheeps hearts, 4 kidneys and 4 eyeballs. These all need to be ordered in advance from a butcher but are very cheap.
large trays to display all of the above on
bulk pack of small disposable gloves. (not strictly necessary, but we found cubs preferred to start wearing gloves and then got brave and took them off)
Instructions
organs may need to be prepared for example by cutting fat away from the kidneys and rinsing blood out of hearts. It's also worth cutting open a kidney and a heart to show the insides.
place organs in trays
invite young people to come and investigate.
you need a couple of science savy adults to explain what's what, and what each organ does.
