Description

A Torch Lit Game to find animals and decode the night themed word.

Resources

Different Animal pictures with a letter in each - use foil or reflective tape so they reflect when the torch light hits them.
e.g. 5 bat pictures with each bat labeled with a letter for Night
5 owl pictures with each owl labelled with a letter for Stars
5 Moth pictures with each moth labeled with a letter for Quiet
Pens
Word recording Cards
Torches

Instructions

Hang the animal cards throught the woodland (in order of word or mixed up)

Give each group of children an animal to find
Tell them to write down the letter they find (1 per box)
Decode the word

Once they have done one you can then send them off to do the others.
