Water - Cold and boiled
Chopped red cabbage

Instructions

Add 1 tsp of bicarb to 1 tbsp of water in a bowl or jar.
Paint a pattern or picture of mixture on some paper.
Place chopped red cabbage in mixing bowl.
Carefully pour some just-boiled water over the cabbage & leave for 10 mins.
Paint the red cabbage over the paper and see what happens.

(when the red cabbage water touches the bicarbonate of soda, a reaction takes place that makes the pattern turn green or blue)
