The beavers are going to invent a machine which will make a new kind of sweet.

Instructions

Show the video clip - stop it after 1 minute.

Give each Beaver a piece of paper on and ask them to design their own machine to make a new sweet. They can be as inventive as they want to be.

If they are struggling for ideas, some prompt questions that you could use:
- will the machine work on its own - or will someone have to operate it?
- will it have a simple on/off button - or something more complicated?
- what ingredients will you use?
- does the machine cook?
- how big or small will it be?

When everyone is ready, share designs amongst the group.

To finish - show the rest of the clip - is Willy Wonka's machine a success?
