Instructions
Start by talking about the role of Alan Turing and his team who created the computer that broke the Enigma Code.
- You can talk about the size of it.
- The Fact that there was no screen or mouse.
- The Fact that you had to use plugs to set programming wheels.
- And that it was no good on its own. You had to have a team of interceptors, normally ladies who listen to the messages being sent and picked ones that they though the machine would be able to break.
Talk about the ladies who had to listen to all the german messages and translate them.
Talk about the fact that some people at Bletchley Park new that things were going to happen that they could not stop in case the germans realised that the British had broken the code.

Then hand out the crossword and allow the children to try to find all the words in the remaining time including "TheSecretHiddenMessage"
