Description

The Beavers can design a healthy eating poster by sticking different coloured pasta to card and writing a message.

Resources

Card
Pens
Dried pasta (various shapes)
Food colouring (not gel colouring as it gets sticky when drying)
PVA glue

Instructions

Ahead of the meeting:
-Mix the different pasta shapes together in a large bowl;
-Takes some of the mixed pasta, into a smaller bowl, add food colouring and mix well;
-Repeat with different colours (I used green, orange, red and blue)
-Leave to dry overnight (see attached photo)

At meeting:
- Separate coloured pasta into different bowls;
- Beavers can make posters by dipping the pasta into glue and sticking it to the card;
- Write a message on the card.
- HAVE FUN

Hint:
Gel food colouring doesn't really dry and gets VERY sticky.
Have a bowl of soapy water ready to clean sticky fingers.
