Introduction
When you feel like all the Ladybirds know each other, or know most of each other’s names, you could play cabbages.

Instructions
Ask the Ladybirds to run around the hall.
When you say ‘cabbages’ all the Ladybirds must roll up into a ball on the ground facing down.
You then cover one Ladybird with the blanket and say ‘cabbages awake’.
The Ladybirds must then guess who is under the blanket. This is a fun way of getting to know the girls.

You could also spice things up by hiding two Ladybirds at a time under the blanket or by getting each Ladybird to say something about themselves once they come out from under the blanket.

Ideally you should use a lightweight blanket or a sheet and be sure not to leave the Ladybirds under for too long.
