Tinsel Christmas Tree

Resources

thin tinsel - this will make two trees (available in Ikea from late October time in red, silver and gold)
15cm polystyrene cone (available in craft shops or in bulk on ebay)
coloured beads or coloured card circles in a mixture of textures (matt, metallic and glossy)
dressmaking pins

Instructions

Introduction
This craft is eye-catching and easy for all abilities.

Instructions
1. Take half of the reel of tinsel and pin one end to the top of the polystyrene cone with the dressmaking pins.
2. Wind it around the cone/tree keeping it tight so the white of the cone doesn’t show through.
3. Wrap until the cone is covered and pin in place at the bottom.
4. Next take your card circles or beads and fix them in place using the pins until you are happy with how it looks.
5. You could finish it off by gluing a small pot to the underneath.
