Description

Relay race to grow a dragon's tail of Beavers.
Can use as part of a Chinese New Year programme (or St George's Day).

Resources

Dragon masks - one per team. (I copied Beaver face sized pictures from the internet then laminated and tied on elastic.)
Markers (to run round - cones, chair etc.)

Instructions

Beavers line up in teams
They are to grow a ‘dragon’s tail’ as they play.
The Team Leader wears a dragon mask and runs to the marker at the end of the room and back. The next Beaver puts his/her hands on the Leader’s shoulders and the two run to the end of the room and back. The next Beaver joins on and continue until the whole team is running together the final time.
