Make planters in groups. In individual pots, choose and plant a herb or veg. Grow and look after at home. Return to plant in planter. Donate to community.

Instructions

In groups, cubs make a planter, following instructions and talking about safety and use of tools. Talk about the wood being used and why chosen.

Individually choose a herb or veg to grow. Plant the seed in a plant pot. Create a label (using a lolly stick). (If short of time label can be decorated at home). Take home and care for it. Return in a couple of months time and place in groups planter.
