Mother’s Day craft – Fingerprint cards

Resources

• poster paints
• strong plastic plates that can be reused
• strong coloured card
• brown card/paper
• glue
• warm water
• hand soap
• old towels

Instructions

Everyone is special, but no one is more special than your Mother. So, to make all the Ladybirds’ Mums feel extra special, we have included two different card ideas that you can use to make your Mother’s Day craft.

Instructions
Lay out the paints on the plates.
Let the Ladybirds choose which colour they want for their hand print.
Using their fingerprints, let them decorate the flowers at the tips of their fingers.
Ask the Ladybirds to wash their hands between paints so as not to mix the colours for the other Ladybirds.
Get the Ladybirds to cut out whatever shape flower pot they wish to glue to the bottom.
You can pre-print flower pots with a Mother’s Day poem or you can let the Ladybirds write their own poem.
The Ladybirds can write their special message on the back of the page.
