Patrick’s Day Beaded Shamrock

Resources

• 20cm x 20cm canvas or piece of heavy card
• mix of green buttons in different sizes
• green seed beads
• glue gun and glue sticks
• scrap paper
• pencil

Instructions

1. Using the scrap paper cut out three equally-sized hearts.
2. Arrange the hearts onto the canvas/card so they make a shamrock shape. Trace around the outside edges and then hand draw the stem.
3. Start carefully gluing on your largest buttons. Do not go outside your pencil lines.
4. Then start filling in the smaller buttons, again staying within your pencil lines.
5. Fill in the gaps between the buttons and along the pencil line with the seed beads. There should be no gaps showing.
6. Allow a few minutes for the glue to set and then shake off any excess beads. Finally display your finished piece.
