Instructions

Beforehand
Find a footpath that's been photographed on Google Street View - we used Llanberis Path from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon, but other popular footpaths are also available (parts of the Pennine Way, Scafell etc)
Make a note of the latitude & longitude of the start point. Using OS Maps, produce a PDF map of the route.

During
Choose one patrol member to be the navigator. Give them the latitude & longitude, ask them to find it on Google, share their screen and zoom in to Street View.
Send the other members of the patrol the PDF map. Their job is to tell the navigator which way to 'walk'. This is easy when they actually get to the footpath, so make sure they keep track of where they are on the map by asking the navigator to stop and look around them so they can identify features they can see on the map.
Ask them to tell you their grid reference at various points.
