Description

To complete all activities set, in order to gain the leaders aspect of the personal challenge award. Please note your beaver will still need to complete their beaver aspect of the personal challenge award. Please see the separate activity for this.

These activities are set to be completed over a space of 4 weeks.

The activities are for beavers to complete independently, initially some of them require aide and modelling by parents but the idea is the beaver should gain these skills and complete them independently.

Resources

Time
bedding- fitted or flat sheet, pillowcase cover, duvet cover, bed, pillow and duvet.
Some parent support( plenty of drinks to keep parents sane)
shoe laces, hiking boots, cardboard.
Ingredients for zoom session on 13.5.20( if you have difficulty with this please contact me asap)
beaver badge, sewing needle, cotton thread, some old material( tea towels work well for and patience

Instructions

Activity 1- Learn how to make your bed( please see attached document.) Your beaver should learn over the next 4 weeks how to put on their sheet(fitted or flat) pillow case cover and duvet cover- independently and successfully for a minimum of 4 times.

Activity 2- Learn how to tie shoes laces- (please see attached document) Your beaver should learn how to tie shoes laces especially their hiking boots, they need to do this independently and successfully for a minimum of 10 times.

Activity 3- Bake- they will be completing this during a zoom session imminently(Wednesday 13th may). However if they do not attend that session or have difficulty logging on please see attached for ingredients and method, again this is independent and only needs completing once.

Activity 4-sewing badges- yes you heard this right!!! Every beaver needs to sew one badge either onto their blanket or onto their jumper. Attached is a guide on how we would like them to achieve this.

Upload your evidence to OSM only- please DO NOT put on Facebook. you do not need to print the attached but if you would like a printed version and unable to do so please contact a leader.
Please do not tick the badge completion until you have completed all 4 tasks, you can still upload the individual tasks to OSM.
