Description

Craft: Using paper and a kebab stick, make a whirlygig spinner with the 12 things shared with Guides around the world.

Resources

 Print out of attached table
 Colours to decorate
 Paper
 Pin
 Kebab stick
 Scissors
 Glue stick
 Hot glue gun

Instructions

1. Print out the attached sheet, either on different colour paper so Guides can swap or on plain white paper to colour in.
2. Cut the print-out into strips – each Guide should have 12.
3. Using spare paper, cut 4 paper circles approx. 5 cm in diameter.
4. Take one of the circles and cover it with glue stick and arrange the tops of the strips evenly around the circle e.g. where the numbers of a clock would be, use plenty of glue. Take a second circle, cover it in glue stick and place on top of all the strips to keep them in place.
5. Repeat this process using the other ends of the strip, again, gluing the ends on to one circle and securing them in place with a second circle – plenty of glue stick.
This should give you a ball shape.
6. Take a pin and pierce a hole in the centre of both circles, top and bottom.
7. Carefully push the kebab stick up through both holes, up through the centre.
8. Cover the stick at the top of the globe with hot glue to stop in coming out.
