Lock Down Triathlon

Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK

Description

Encourage beavers/cubs/scouts to get active by making their own lock down triathlon.
Rules:
- The triathlon needs to include some form of running (indoor or out), water (think paddling pool, garden hose or even bath tub or sink) and wheeled movement (bike, scooter, skateboard….)
- Scouts must use what they have (don’t buy anything new)

This can be set on a zoom meeting for them to do afterwards or the instructions can be emailed out

Resources

Encourage kids to use their problem solving/creativeness to find what they need to come up with their own triathlon

Instructions

Make sure everyone knows what a standard triathlon is
If you want to link it to an international issue such as Covid-19/obseity worldwide for the Scouts World Challenge Badge, discuss/explain that many people around the world are getting less exercise because of Covid-19 (people have to stay in doors, gyms/sports clubs are shut etc) and why exercise is important for physical and mental health as well as other impacts Covid-19 has had on the world.
Explain the rules detailed above
