Aboriginal Journey Sticks
Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
In Australia, Aboriginal people used to tie items they found on their journey to their walking stick. This was to help them to tell the story of their journey when they got home. Each item represented an event or a feature they passed. They might use a twig, or piece of bark to represent walking through a wooded area. You are being asked to go out and find items to attach to your stick and then tell others about what you saw, based on what you collected.
