Rope six relay
Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
A relay race based on teams made up of the cub sixes that involves the six running to the opposite end of the hall and making a shape from their loop of rope.
Resources
One length of rope per six (team). Each rope should be tied into a loop.
Instructions
Place the loops of rope at the opposite end of the hall, The leader then calls a shape (triangle, square, circle, pentagon, straight line etc) and the cubs race to the loops of rope and grab one per six. They then need to work together to make that shape by each cub being inside the loop and holding a piece of the rope.
The winning six can be the fastest / most accurate shape.
The difficulty level can be increased by not creating loops for them, and calling a specific know and shape combination. E.g. triangle and reef knot, or square and sheetbend. They then need to tie the correct knot and form the right shape.
