A new session ice breaker to encourage everyone to find out more about everyone else (suitable for all sections provided you adjust the type of questioning appropriately)

Two rows or concentric circles of chairs

Instructions

Set up the chairs in two lines facing each other (or in concentric circles if a large number of participants, a small circle and a larger circle outside of that). Make sure that the chairs are facing each other and there are an equal amount of chairs in each line or in the inside circle as well as the outside circle.

The format or idea of how the game is played is like speed dating. Every participant will sit across from another participant (can be same or opposite sex), and will have a task to complete in 30 or 60 seconds before they rotate to the next person.

Here is a list of questions that might be suitable for explorers to complete with each other:

- What's your most embarrassing moment?
- What's your favourite food?
- What do you want to be when you grow up?
- Who's your favourite celebrity?
- Who do you look up to the most?
- What's your favourite childhood memory?
- Do you like or hate Marmite?

You may choose to specify your own topics which may need a little longer than 30 seconds, others may need less. You can use a cymbal, buzzer, bell or whistle as a rotation gong when question time is up. This game is a great introduction that also acts as a way for members to get to know each other and break out of their comfort zone a little.
