Lego build (virtual or face-to-face)

Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK

Description

Scouts are given identical sets of lego bricks (approximately 10 different bricks) and they have to replicate a shape without seeing it.

Resources

Lego bricks (identical sets per scout), dropped off a each house before the meeting (pretty labour intensive if you have a large troop!)

Instructions

Scouts are given identical sets of lego bricks and one has to quickly build a shape. They don't show it to the others. Then they have to describe what they have built and the other scouts have to try to replicate it. The receiving Scouts can ask questions but can't show their building to the camera. They can take it in turns to be the initial builder.

If this can be done in person then a variation is for the leader to build the shape and place it in a box. Then one person at a time from each patrol comes to the box to view the structure for 30 secs, then returns to the patrol to try to explain to the others what they have seen. Set a time limit/number of views and the patrol with the most accurate structure wins.
