1. Using a cup/mug or the roll of sticky tape draw and cut out 1 or 2 circles in tissue paper.
2. Gently fold into quarters and snip the corner to make a hole just big enough to put the flower stick through. Avoid hard creases if possible.
3. Using the below template shape cut 4-5 petals from card.
4. Place the tissue paper circles onto the flower stick leaving 0.5cm-1cm of the stick above the hole in the tissue paper.
5. Cut a 2cm length of sticky tape and place over the bottom (point) of the card petal.
6. Pinch the bottom of the tissue paper and place the card petal over the pinched tissue onto the flower stick and press firmly to apply the first petal.
7. Repeat the process with the remaining card petals around the stick.
8. To finish the flower gently press open the card petals and tissue circle; if they are a little scrunched this will add to the life-like look of the poppy.
