Introduction
Take part in an activity to learn about the night sky.
Constellations are groupings of stars that humans have made when stargazing. Stars that are in one constellation are in the same direction of space but are all at different distances.
Different cultures see different constellations. The western world uses constellations that are based on ancient Greek and Roman stories.
Instructions
Print the three night sky star scenes in advance (A3 size if possible).
Laminate for reuse.
Tape them under a table and invite the Brownies to lie on their backs on the floor, looking up at the underside of the table and to see if they can spot the constellation pattern in the starry sky.
