Instructions

1. Guess what’s in the box
Line up 8 cereal boxes on a high surface so Scouts can’t see inside. Scouts to place a hand into each and guess the contents. Some suggestions - Jelly cubes. Cooked spaghetti. Cotton Wool. Leaves from the garden. Pickled onions. Peeled orange. Peeled banana. Patrol gain points for the amount of correct answers. Write down answers in private, no talking or discussing. Total score /10 per patrol.

2. Bush Tucker trial
Sit patrol round a table. Challenge to eat critters (bowl in middle) without making a silly face or noise. Calculate total score/10 pro rata for effort and numbers eaten.

3. Kiosk Keith
Go to the kiosk and you’ll be given a series of 10 questions by a leader (one with a grumpy face with Oz hat). Each Q has 2 possible answers. As a patrol, discuss each question and tell ‘Keith your answer. If correct he smiles. If wrong he closes the hatch (if you have one). Questions can be made up on Scout knowledge, Australia facts and I’m A Celeb TV trivia. Leader will give each patrol a score/10

4. Pink Pong Cups
Throwing ping pong balls into cups in one minute. 3 cups, 3 balls per Scout. Once each has played, the next person in line picks up balls from the floor and plays. Non stop over 8 minutes. Relay style, the leader counts the total number of balls that landed in cups.

5. Find the spiders
Hide plastic spiders in a defined outdoor area (if your hall has an outdoor area). Patrol has 8 minutes to find as many as possible.

6. “Celebrity Cyclone”.... Luminous stars scattered/hidden around hall. One Scout nominated from each patrol, blindfolded. Hall lights out. One from each patrol goes (on the whistle) crawling to find stars, they only have 30 seconds then next person goes. Patrol can shout to help their member. The patrol with the most stars wins.

Total all points from bases/trials and finale… Prizes for winning patrol.
